IIEC is the official Incubation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Cell of CSMU. We build a collaborative student ecosystem that guides early-stage ideas into launching ventures, fosters campus-wide innovation, and connects builders with industry opportunities.

General / Explorer Track
Unsure which team fits you? Have zero experience and just want to explore? Join the Explorer Track!
- Core Work: Rotate through portfolios for 1 month to explore different domains and tasks.
- Key Trait: Curiosity, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- For Beginners: Genuinely open to complete beginners! You are evaluated on attitude and effort.
Social Media & Production
One team with two distinct sub-roles. Select your preferred track on the form:
- Production sub-role: Shoot and edit event photos, high-yield reels, and video highlights. Needs: camera/phone basics, and editing tool familiarity (CapCut/Premiere). Beginners: start with phone photography/basic clips and build.
- Social Media sub-role: Write captions, coordinate platform postings, research algorithms, and drive engagement. Needs: trend awareness, platform literacy (Instagram/LinkedIn), and writing clarity. Beginners: study top pages and draft schedules.
Graphic Design
Design campaign posters, event slides, and visual assets (primarily Canva-based).
- Core Work: Crafting social creatives, brand slide decks, presentation visuals.
- Key Trait: Eye for clean layouts and willingness to learn Canva.
- For Beginners: Canva has a low learning curve; we teach brand guidelines and templates.
Research & Content Writing
Drafting posts, scripting videos, planning content narratives, and researching startup topics.
- Core Work: Scriptwriting, copywriting, newsletters, summarizing startup trends.
- Key Trait: Writing clarity and curiosity for research.
- For Beginners: We guide your tone and structure; interest matters more than experience.
PR & Sponsorship
Outreach to corporate partners, pitching events, securing budgets, and inviting guests.
- Core Work: PR emails, sponsor pitches, networking with industry mentors.
- Key Trait: Confidence and professional verbal/written communication.
- For Beginners: We train you on outreach etiquette, email pitches, and call setups.
Event Planning & Operations
Organizing schedules, registrations, logistics, and coordinating live on-ground events.
- Core Work: Venue flow, coordination checklists, registration desks, speaker welcomes.
- Key Trait: High reliability and calmness under live event pressure.
- For Beginners: Detail-oriented students can easily learn on-ground roles.
Technical Team
Building portals, hacking registration spreadsheets, and deploying landing pages.
- Core Work: Internal portals, registration pipelines, simple websites, and form scripts.
- Key Trait: Basic coding knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS) and problem-solving.
- For Beginners: If you are interested in coding, we help you build real tools.
Documentation Team
Recording minutes of meetings (MoMs), writing event reports, and maintaining archives.
- Core Work: Archiving records, organizing cloud folders, compiling report outlines.
- Key Trait: Strong organization, precision, and attention to detail.
- For Beginners: Excellent entry point to understand E-Cell operations and tasks.
